The 2011 Snowman Special is in the books! The last pocket snowmen was dealt, the last bad beat taken, and the last drop of moonshine out of the bottle before it was all over. It was one for the record books in many ways. Congratulations to Cory who outlasted 27 players to take home the 2011 championship, the cash, and the trophy.
The usual amount of pocket snowmen were hit with 4, but two of those were made into a set. The highest ever for this tournament. The bad beat goes to James T who turned his pocket KK’s into a set before losing to a straight. The 2010 winner bust went to Dan Stein who ousted Jason at 6th place. Since I am a stats junkie, I decided to compile career results and see where everyone has been finishing over the past 5 years. I then took it one step farther and created my own Power Rankings since not every tournament had the same # of players. Winning a 27 person tournament is certainly tougher than winning an 18 player tournament. I feel the Power Rankings are slightly more accurate, but I'll let you decide. Check out the results below. (Note: you needed to play in at least 3 of the 5 tournaments to be included in the rankings.) Average Finish
