Finally a good concert came to the Sovereign Center, and I took advantage of it. It was on Thursday Jan 20th. I'll try to keep a long story short. I originally bought 8 GA tickets to the show. A few people told me they wanted to go, and some others I figured would want to go. I had 7 of 8 taken about a month before the show. I started asking other people to see if they wanted the last ticket. 4 days before the show and no takers so I put it on ebay. I sell it within a day and decide to meet the person at the show since I don't want to trust the mail this close to the show. The next day, someone else bails. So I put another ticket on ebay. That sells right away. Morning of the show, someone else bails! I call back some people I originally told the ticket was sold from Craiglist, and I sell that in 15 minutes. But that was only the beginning of the end. The last person I sold to turned out to be more trouble than it was worth! Let's just say they weren't very trusting I even had a ticket, was going to show up that night, and paranoid about it all since she was standing outside in line at 1:45pm!

In the end, I met all 3 people outside the Sovereign Center to give them the tickets. I looked like a scalper on the corner of Penn St. The rest of us - me, Craig, Tracey, Jen, and Jason went to the Outside In for some food and drinks before the show. The show starts at 6:30pm and we headed over just after 7pm. There was still quite a long line for GA and we waited about 25 min. This brings me to my second gripe of the night. The doors opened at 5:30pm we didn't get in until 7:40pm meaning there was a line the ENTIRE TIME for the GA entrance. How does it take over 2 hours to get just the GA people in the door??? How do major events at stadiums get 10 times more people inside? Ridiculous!

When it was all said and done, I had a really good time. I didn't know what to expect from Avenged Sevenfold, but they were really good. I was impressed. They had one of the best stage setups I've seen in a long time. I have some video of mosh pit action with Jason, but it is very dark. There were some big boys in there. Check out some of the pics and videos....
